HOW TO GET TO TIGRE
BY CAR: From the Autonomous City of
Buenos Aires, take the Northern Route
(Acceso Norte), also called “Autopista del
Sol”, and then the route to Tigre. The
directions on the signs are clear, and after
40 minutes you will arrive with no problem.
Once you take the “Tigre Centro” off ramp,
continue on “Ricardo Ubieto” Boulevard until
you come to the TBA train station. Follow
the traffic circle to the front of the
terminal, and you will arrive at the Fluvial
Station (Mc Donald´s is the local reference),
located on the bank of the Tigre River.
BY TRAIN: From Retiro, take the TBA
Mitre-Tigre line until it ends, where you
will get off at the Tigre Station. It´s the
most modern train line in Buenos Aires, with
added air conditioning. Travel time is 50
minutes, with trains leaving every 10-12
minutes on weekdays, and every 30 minutes on
weekends and holidays.
Another option is the “Tren de la Costa”,
which leaves from the Maipú Station in
Olivos and runs to the Delta terminal (next
to the Casino and Puerto de Frutos). It´s a
modern, comfortable tourist service that
runs every 20 minutes.
BY BUS: The 60 line (yellow) runs
from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
The indication card will state “Estación
Tigre”, there are a number of different
routes, so ask before getting on.
Approximate travel time is 2 hours.
