HOW TO GET TO TIGRE

BY CAR: From the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, take the Northern Route (Acceso Norte), also called “Autopista del Sol”, and then the route to Tigre.  The directions on the signs are clear, and after 40 minutes you will arrive with no problem.  Once you take the “Tigre Centro” off ramp, continue on “Ricardo Ubieto” Boulevard until you come to the TBA train station.  Follow the traffic circle to the front of the terminal, and you will arrive at the Fluvial Station (Mc Donald´s is the local reference), located on the bank of the Tigre River.

BY TRAIN: From Retiro, take the TBA Mitre-Tigre line until it ends, where you will get off at the Tigre Station.  It´s the most modern train line in Buenos Aires, with added air conditioning.  Travel time is 50 minutes, with trains leaving every 10-12 minutes on weekdays, and every 30 minutes on weekends and holidays.

Another option is the “Tren de la Costa”, which leaves from the Maipú Station in Olivos and runs to the Delta terminal (next to the Casino and Puerto de Frutos).  It´s a modern, comfortable tourist service that runs every 20 minutes.

BY BUS: The 60 line (yellow) runs from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.  The indication card will state “Estación Tigre”, there are a number of different routes, so ask before getting on. Approximate travel time is 2 hours.
